TWIGGY MENDENHALL

Policy Manager
B.S. Sustainability Management - SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry

Twiggy serves as Ecogy's Policy Manager, leading policy campaigns, stakeholder engagement, research, task forces and collaborative initiatives in the Northeast. Her responsibilities include drafting position letters, filing public comments, and conducting quantitative/qualitative research, as well as working alongside the business development and marketing teams to coordinate and execute deliverables for Ecogy's products and services. Twiggy's notable achievements include being elected to the New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA) board which is the only statewide membership and trade association exclusively focused on advancing solar energy deployment in New York State, and lobbying for solar incentives aimed at community solar projects serving low income households, as well as responsibly sited projects in the built environment throughout Ecogy's portfolio.

Prior to joining Ecogy, Twiggy helped facilitate the learning experiences of school children at a science museum, worked to divert waste from the landfill at a concert venue, and assembled electronics. While living in Chicago, Illinois, her love for building things led her to participate in the Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) Solar Training Pipeline, where she gained hands-on solar installer and construction training and lobbied for passage of the Clean Energy Jobs Act (CEJA). Using the renewable energy course through this initiative as credit and taught by the City Colleges of Chicago, she holds an A.S. Degree from Harry S Truman College and a B.S. in Sustainability Management from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. The solar jobs training experience led her to pursue policy at Ecogy, with the goal of driving equitable climate change action.
