Miguel serves as a Site Survey Technician for Ecogy Energy. Miguel focuses on conducting site audits and qualifying potential distributed generation projects as viable. Furthermore, Miguel helps to coordinate with the business and engineering department to bring feasible projects through site engineering from origination to development. His additional responsibilities are conducting site qualifications, creating detailed site design layouts and technical plans, collecting shading data, coordinating drone flights, and developing positive relationships with clients from initial engagement.

Before joining Ecogy, Miguel always had a strong interest in the area of sustainability especially in the realm of innovative technologies. Miguel has worked on building numerous projects such as a dual solar tracking system, miniature wind turbine, microplastic filtration device and has conducted undergraduate research focused on optimizing the infrastructure of community solar. Miguel also led a bioengineering organization called Engineering World Health during his time at Syracuse focused on designing medical technology for resource-poor communities of the developing world.

Who is Miguel?

Outside of Ecogy, Miguel loves to spend his time reading science fiction novels, running outdoors especially in the fall season, and is a cinephile for many genres of films.
