How is this different than last time? This time there is no bank information required and no two-bill system. Starting approx. Mid-Summer, 2021, ConEdison will be moving to Consolidated billing eliminating separate billing thereafter.
The project - developed, financed, owned and operated by Ecogy - is currently under construction, and is expected to be operational later this summer.
Note that homeowners with solar panels are not eligible for community solar.
Ecogy will be taking subscriptions on a first-come first-served basis!
There are no termination fees for any residential customer that signs up as a subscriber.

HERE’S WHERE THE JUICE COMES FROM
Above is a rendering of the 250 kW DC roof-mount and parking canopy community solar system for Croton Community Solar 2.0.
The system will be completed in 2021, and is being installed at the Shrub Oak mall in Yorktown. The community solar system provides an amenity to shoppers and visitors of the mall and also provides community solar access to the Westchester Community.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Community Solar is a utility program that saves residences and businesses money on their electric bills by subscribing a portion of their energy to a local community solar system - subscribers will receive a ~10% discount on their Con Edison electric bill.
