Ecogy Croton Community solar Details:
System Size: 301 kW DC
Est. Annual Production: 344,000 kWh
Total Lease Payments to the Village: $726,461 over the 27-year term of the contract
Providing community members of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson the option to support locally-produced, clean solar energy, this 301 kW DC system will provide power to over 45 families.
The system is sited on the rooftop of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson Department of Public Works building. Ecogy paid for upfront reroof work that the facility needed and will be paying the Village an annual lease payment for hosting the system.
The project - developed, financed, owned and operated by Ecogy - is currently under construction by our trusted local construction partner, Croton Energy Group Inc., and is expected to be operational later this summer.
Village residents living in Low and Moderate Income (LMI) households, which earn <60% of the Area Median Income (AMI) or $65,000 are encouraged to apply.
Ecogy will be taking subscriptions on a first-come first-served basis!
There are no termination fees for any residential customer that signs up as a subscriber.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Community Solar is a utility program that saves residences and businesses money on their electric bills by subscribing a portion of their energy to a local community solar system - subscribers will receive a ~10% discount on their Con Edison electric bill.
Steps to Subscribe
1. Fill out a form with your utility Information.
2. Solar credits get applied to your utility bill from Ecogy.
3. Get a second bill from Ecogy for a portion (90%) of the credits.*
4. That’s It. Start Saving Today!
*Starting approx. March 1st, 2021, ConEdison will be moving to Consolidated billing eliminating separate billing thereafter.
